Manuscripts in which plagiarism is detected are handled depending on the degree of plagiarism:
- >10% plagiarism: The manuscript will be returned to the author to correct the content, and the updated article must be resubmitted to the journal.
- 10-25% plagiarism: The manuscript will be returned to the author to correct the content, and the updated article must be resubmitted to the journal.
- >25-40% plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected without review.
Authors are asked to correct the manuscript and resubmit it.
Plagiarism can be detected in various forms, such as:
- Copying exact content from another source.
- Intentional use of parts of another author's work.
- Reproducing elements of another author's work, such as drawings, tables, equations, or illustrations that are not commonly known, or intentionally using content without citing the source.
- Using text taken from internet sources.
- Copying or downloading drawings, photographs, diagrams without providing the source.
Plagiarism is considered a violation of academic integrity and a breach of scientific ethics.
Authors are responsible for providing original works, appropriately citing sources, and avoiding all forms of plagiarism. Before submitting a manuscript for publication, authors should check their work using plagiarism detection tools to ensure it is free of plagiarism.
Plagiarism Detection Process
Index Copernicus uses plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of submitted manuscripts. All submitted manuscripts are thoroughly checked for similarity to other published works. If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the review process, the manuscript will be immediately rejected, and authors will be informed of the detected issues. In cases where plagiarism is detected after publication, the article may be retracted, and relevant information will be published on the journal's website.
